Most insurance companies such as Humana, Assurant, Anthem Blue Cross, and Unitedhealthcare/Golden Rulle, now offer an online application that allows you to obtain quotes, view, fill out, and submit an application entirely online. You can establish an account, which will save all your quotes, and allow you to save completed work at any point, exit and come back later to pick up where you left off if you get interrupted. This whole process is new and there is still an occasional bug. However, it does allow you a great deal of privacy and convenience in getting the underwriting process started.
